Counseling Research

Alongside working directly with clients, I also have participated in formal counseling research since 2020. This involves conducting data collection, authoring manuscripts for peer-reviewed publications, and presenting at regional and national research conferences.

My research topics have included:

  • The Asian American & Pacific Islander (AAPI) population

  • Pandemic-related stress and trauma

  • College students’ mental health and identity development

  • Counselors’ self-efficacy, growth mindset, & resilience

  • Therapeutic rupture and repair

  • Imposter syndrome

My research has been featured in:

  • Counseling Today magazine, March 2024 Edition (link)

  • The Association for Adult Development and Aging (AADA)

  • The American Counseling Association’s (ACA) Annual Conference

  • The Texas Counseling Association’s (TCA) Annual Conference

  • The Maryland Counseling Association’s (MCA) Annual Conference

  • The Association of Creativity in Counseling’s (ACC) Annual Conference

  • Antioch University’s (Seattle) Online Social Justice Symposium

  • University of Holy Cross’s Law and Ethics in Counseling Conference

Therapy Resources

As a mental health professional with an interest in design, I often find myself creating evidence-based and aesthetically-pleasing resources for my clients to use in their everyday lives. After seeing these tools being used by my clients to continue their therapeutic work and personal growth outside of our sessions, I decided to share these resources with the Etsy community. Find me on Etsy as Sage Paper Goods!
